Deco Port Forwarding Feature Setup via Deco App

The Deco mesh system is lass with so many features like Deco lights major ones are ‘Deco blinking blue and Deco flashing red’. One more feature is Deco Port Forwarding feature. Here, you will get to know about how to setup port forwarding deco within the app.

Deco Port Forwarding (Deco App)

There is several port forwarding entries in a deco device. In some of the models, the support is for only 16 entries but in some there are 64 entries. Let’s see how to setup Deco port forwarding within app and take the Deco M5 as an example for the setup;

1. Access Deco App

Open the app in the phone connected to the Deco network via SSID credentials. To access the app, you have to enter the Admin username and password. You will reach to the dashboard and then tap on the More and then get in to Advanced Settings.

2. Go into Port Forwarding Tab

In to the Advanced Settings, you have to tap on the NAT Forwarding option, and choose the Port Forwarding tab. To start a new Port forwarding rule just tap on the add sign (+) on the top of the screen or choose the ‘Add Port Forwarding Rule’ button on the bottom of screen.

3. Fill in Details for Setup

To add you will see a form opening on the screen. Here, choose Services Type, enter the Service Name, and the tap on the Internal IP button. It will help you to select device, which you want to open the ports for, after that you must type in External Port and internet Port details. Then you can Save it.

4. Finish Port Forwarding Rule

To finish the setup, you must go in to the IPv4 page, so that you can checkout the WAN IP address of the system. The IPv4 settings is located in the More > Internet Connection. Then, you can note down the ‘WAN IP:Port Number’ (external port) that’ll help you to access the service from the outside network.

You can also turn off the TP link deco port forwarding rule from the Deco app or Deco login interface. Just go in to the More > Advanced > NAT Forwarding > Port Forwarding tab. then simple tap on the Delete button or option.
